Review Of Article Post Robot
David Tang, leader of the Article Post Robot Team, graciously supplied me with a demo version of the software to review.
Article Post Robot is a software package designed to make your article submissions easier.
The software is simple, easy to use and comes with a PDF version of a users manual.
The software has the following menu selections available:
Browser – Feature for viewing article sites.
Article Sites – Option for viewing web sites that accept article submissions. This screen tells you which sites require registration and offers a right click option for adding a login and password for each site.
Mail List – A mix of sites that accept e–mailed articles and sites featuring newsgroups.
Article Options – Feature for storing your article information: i.e., title, subtitle, keywords, summary, etc., allowing you to choose up to five categories.
Article Content – Option for either uploading a text article into this screen or typing an article directly into the box and saving it as a .txt file.
Author Options – Feature for adding your first name, last name, location, URL of your web site, pen name, e–mail address and biography. You can save this information or import it from your computer.
E–Mail Template – A standard e–mail template included with e–mail submissions. You can edit this as many times as you want and save each version.
Other Options – Asks for information to set up your SMTP information for your e–mail system, posting configuration and pause time between posts.)
This software can be used to submit your articles or those of your clients. By saving articles and author biographies, you can easily switch between various articles and/or authors. You can also create multiple bylines for yourself. The history of submissions is created for you and stores up to 90 days of data
for each article.
Overall, I found Article Post Robot simple to use and was genuinely impressed with the quick response to e–mails. The only downside is that you cannot add new sites to the submission list, but the software owners will frequently offer free updates. Any article submission software has a learning curve, but this is
less of an issue when customer support is responsive and friendly.
